Descripción de la oferta

The successful candidate will join the IoT group to work on the implementation and development of IoT solutions and their evaluation in real environments. The project offers the opportunity to research and work on cutting-edge IoT technologies and solutions from a highly applied perspective. Specifically, the person will work on the development of solutions to improve IoT device communications and capabilities. This includes, for example, designing Edge-cloud continuum strategies and architectures that take into account IoT sensors (far Edge), researching protocols that enhance IoT network interoperability, and the application of artificial intelligence to low-powered IoT devices (sensors/actuators) to promote the development of smarter spaces and environments. The hired person will also participate in the conception of new projects.

Among their tasks will be the following:

  • Development and implementation of IoT prototype software/firmware.
  • Deployment of experimental testbeds for prototype validation in real conditions.
  • Development of tools and scripts for solution evaluation and monitoring.
  • Research on more efficient IoT architectures, protocols, and devices.
  • Design and development of IoT solutions for future smart spaces.
  • Preparation of technical documentation and scientific publications.
  • Collaboration with other members of the IoT group.
  • Project and technical team coordination.
  • Supervision and guidance of undergraduate (TFG) and master's (TFM) degree projects.

The hired person is expected to have the ability to work autonomously and possess a solid and applied experience in IoT technologies and protocols.
