Back-End / Full Stack Developer

Key Role

As IREP’s Back-end Developer, you’ll play an important role to lead development of our solutions including improving the current business intelligence platform and building new features such as incorporating Industrial IoT solutions.

Job Purpose

To manage data between web servers and end users in our latest projects. Along with a team of other dedicated developers, you’ll mostly be responsible for maintaining server-side business logic. By collaborating with front-end developers who work on client-side applications and interfaces, you will play a direct role in delivering fast and efficient services to our client base.

Key Duties

• Report to the Head of Technology, Dr. Christian Feldermann
• Back-end software and solution development in accordance with business plans and strategies
• Design, develop, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, modular, and RESTful APIs, Web Services, and systems utilising various tools like NodeJS
• Incorporate Industrial IoT solutions into our service portfolio creating the back-end sensor to gateway and database data transfer and communication systems
• Collaborate with the Front-End Development and IT Infrastructure teams to ensure the IT Group delivers new and maintains existing end-to-end applications
• Be involved with designing and building diverse distributed networking applications, development tools, internal applications, and third-party API integrations
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain API related database objects
• Ensure software reliability and responsiveness by conducting tests, finding errors, and debugging for better results
• Support the sales team by providing the necessary technical and background information on the applications being developed. Offer training and support to other members of the team
• Add server-side logic to the user interface elements created by Front-End Developers
• Use the latest technologies to replace or update legacy systems
• Keep a finger on the pulse of the latest technologies for constant growth and improvement
