Discipline: R&DOur Media & Internet Research Area (MIA) is looking for a Graphics Engineer or Virtual Reality Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of a multi-user virtual reality experience platform to develop, design and evaluate virtual reality behavioral experiments.
The successful candidate will be part of the Ris3CAT VIVIM project, a 3-year project that began in January 2020. This will give the candidate the possibility to interact with a consortium of partners specializing in different aspects of video processing, streaming and production of virtual reality content.
The engineer chosen shall be responsible for the following tasks and functions:
- Work with innovative media formats (point clouds, dynamic meshes, etc)
- Integrate innovative coding and media transmission solutions to optimize virtual reality experience and the sense of co-chair
- Explore methods to increase physical feeling in virtual space
- To quantitatively and qualitatively test the feeling of co-chair

Minimum requeriments:
- Degree in Information Engineering or EquivalentAt least 3 years of experience as a Graphic Engineer / Virtual Reality
- Demonstrable experience with Unity
- Experience in Software Development in CTM and Design Patterns
- Experience in large projects in C
- Teamwork, flexibility and multitasking skills
- Good level of English
- Knowledge of OpenGL
Desired requeriments:
- Unity Networking experience
- Understanding back-end and databases
- Experience with C++, Python, Java and other languages will be a plus
- Experience in rendering optimization
- Experience in Machine Learning, Statistics or behavioral studies
- PhD in a field related to Computer Graphics or Virtual Reality
