Product Manager - 5G

As a Product Manager you'll be responsible for developing a technology vision for i2CAT assets portfolio, and define the strategy and roadmap for specific technology industries (starting in 5G telecom).

i2CAT does not aim to put products into operations, therefore, results will be transfered to existing ICT industry companies or spin-offs via licensing or joint-venture agreements, who will take over the responsability to exploit the result in form of product and/or services. Our products are technology based so you'll be in charge of taking a customer-first approach to technology development, interviewing and understanding technical challenges, market requirements and opportunities, testing concepts and evolving the technology roadmap by creating consensus internally and with key external partners (industry not academy).

• Identify technical market needs (features) and practices (standars, uses, trends...) and translate into (product) requirements.
• Establish relationships with technology industry (not academia) to have strong awareness of standardization and industry/market needs and trends
• Define features and technical requirements for a technical team
• Work closely with the R&D teams, the software engineering group, and business technical stakeholders to deliver features
• Define product roadmaps and tech releases
• Review the technology documentation (mainly software)

You will drive the results of multiple research projects, working closely with research and software engineering areas to create unique products (assets) that will succeed in the market and track technology investments from the projects that fund them.

Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
