Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a senior IT Business Analyst with proven experience in carve-in / carve-out programs to support complex transformation and integration initiatives within an international environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in analyzing and managing IT workflows across multiple applications, particularly in separation, integration, and transition contexts (e.g. M&A, divestitures, PMI).

This role requires strong end-to-end process understanding, the ability to map dependencies between systems, and hands-on experience ensuring business continuity during transitional states.

 

Key Responsibilities

Carve-in / Carve-out & Transformation

  • Lead business analysis activities in carve-out and carve-in programs, ensuring smooth separation or integration of systems and processes
  • Analyze and document system interdependencies, data flows, and application landscapes across multiple domains
  • Support definition of Target Operating Model (TOM) and transition strategies (TSA, Day 1 readiness, Day 2 optimization)
  • Ensure business continuity and minimal disruption during system migrations and separations

 

IT Workflow & Application Integration

  • Map and analyze IT workflows between applications 
  • Identify upstream/downstream impacts of system changes
  • Define and document integration points, interfaces, and data exchange mechanisms
  • Work closely with architecture and development teams to ensure alignment between business processes and IT systems

 

Process Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze AS-IS / TO-BE processes across business functions (O2C, Finance, Customer Service)
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements adapted to transitional environments
  • Develop process maps and workflow diagrams including cross-system interactions

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the bridge between business, IT, and program leadership
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and requirement sessions across multiple entities
  • Manage stakeholders in high-pressure transformation environments

 

Testing & Delivery

  • Define and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in complex multi-system environments
  • Validate end-to-end workflows and integration scenarios
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements and transition milestones

 

Governance & Reporting

  • Track progress related to migration, separation, or integration streams
  • Report risks, dependencies, and issues to project leadership
  • Document processes, decisions, and outcomes for auditability

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Proven experience in carve-in / carve-out projects (M&A, divestitures, PMI)
  • Minimum 5 years as IT Business Analyst, with exposure to complex IT landscapes
  • Strong experience in mapping IT workflows and application interdependencies
  • Experience in system migration and/or integration projects
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes 
  • Experience working in multi-system and multi-entity environments
  • English professional level
  • Based in Madrid

 

Highly Valued

  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture and integration concepts (APIs, middleware, interfaces)
  • Experience in consulting or transformation programs (PMI preferred)
  • Familiarity with TSA management, Day 1 readiness, and transition planning
