Call for Applications: Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellowships at i2CAT Foundation

The i2CAT Foundation, a leading research and innovation center in Catalonia specializing in advanced Internet technologies, is seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researchers to join our team through the prestigious Juan de la Cierva program.

About i2CAT:

We are a non-profit foundation driving cutting-edge research and innovation in areas such as 5G/6G networks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, space communications and the Internet of Things. We collaborate with leading academic institutions, industry partners, and public administrations to develop and deploy transformative technologies with a positive societal impact.

Research Areas:

We welcome applications from researchers with expertise in the following areas:

  • Next-Generation Networks: 5G/6G, network virtualization, software-defined networking, edge computing
  • Cybersecurity: Network security, data privacy, cryptography, threat intelligence
  • Artificial Intelligence: Machine learning, deep learning, AI for networking, AI ethics
  • Space: Satellite communications, space networks, delay-tolerant networking, interplanetary internet
  • Media: immersive experiences, XR, VR, human computer interaction
  • Internet of Things: IoT architectures, sensor networks, data analytics, smart cities

Eligibility Criteria:

  • PhD Degree: Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree between January 1st, 2023, and December 31st, 2024.
  • Research Excellence: A strong research track record, demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, and other research outputs.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or Catalan is an asset.
