Junior R&D engineer

i2CAT is looking for a junior R&D engineer to develop a WiFi7 model for ns3. The work will be done in the context of a project with a semiconductor company developing a WiFi7 IC. The developed simulator will be used to validate the performance of the WiFi7 MAC mechanisms and algorithms in realistic scenarios.

The selected candidate will be part of the MWI team that includes another senior researcher working in the same project. The work will include:

• Studying WiFi7 capabilities
• Developing extensions to the ns3 wifi modules to include WiFi7 features
• Developing extensions to the ns3 wifi modules to include custom traffic models
• Participate in regular customer meetings presenting the status of the project
