Disciplina: I+DOur Mobile Wireless Internet (MWI) research area is looking for an R&D Engineer to work on 5G wireless solutions, getting involved in various exciting Research and Innovation projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in one or more of the following research projects:
MOBY, where the candidate will be working on V2X developments to support a use case demonstration about Vulnerable Road Users.
CPSOSWARE, where the candidate will be working on a V2X custom simulator developed by i2CAT that support IEEE 802.11p and C-V2X.
CARAMEL, where the candidate will be developing a custom ETSI G5 stack focusing on cybersecurity aspects.
As part of his regular work the successful candidate is expected to:
1) Participate in project meetings with customers and partners where technical solutions need to be agreed.
2) Collaborate with i2CAT's Software Engineering group developing custom V2X stacks and prototypes.
3) Propose research ideas, including algorithms and protocols, to address the technical problems presented in the projecte where he or she participates.

Minimum requirements:
- V2X specialist engineer
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.11p, 3GPP C-V2X and ETSI-G5
- Practical experience working with ETSI-G5 equipment
- Good written, communication and presentation skills. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must
Nice to have:
- Practical experience will be valued developing extensions to stack ETSI-G5, especially if they are based on Vanetza
