Job description

The Department of Nursing at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya provides significant support for research, and particularly focuses on the following lines of research:  

 

  • Care for polypathological patients.
  • Research into the development of teaching methodologies and the acquisition of learning results.

The candidate will form part of the Nursing Education Committee, set up by the Department of Nursing in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and will be involved in undertaking innovative teaching and research projects along the lines of the development of teaching methodologies and the acquisition of learning results in the Faculty, providing their point of view from the field of primary care nursing. Candidates will also be able to join our line of research on caring for polypathological patients with a focus on the field of primary care nursing.  

The selected candidate will teach on our Bachelor’s degree in Nursing programme, in the area of primary care nursing, and will actively participate in developing community-based projects.  

The main objective of the faculty is to educate the best healthcare professionals by providing them with knowledge, attitudes and skills. The candidate will actively participate in promoting teaching excellence in the area of primary care nursing.

Contract:  Full-time

Faculty: Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Department: Department of Nursing

Salary:  According to the salary table, €37.300 gross per year.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have solid care and research experience at a primary care nursing level.  The candidate must demonstrate evidence of their research trajectory, as well as have the following qualifications and professional experience.

 

A PhD, with the holder being accredited as a "Lector" by AQU, or a pre-tenured lecturer “professor ayudante doctor” accredited by ANECA or equivalent in the case of foreign qualifications.

Solid experience of teaching at degree level (it will be highly valuable if the candidate has experience of teaching at master’s or postgraduate level).  

Evidence of positive evaluations from students.

Recognised experience in the field of primary care nursing.

Advanced knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies.

An interest in working on the teaching and research projects being carried out as part of their degree programmes.

Proven management, multidisciplinary and teamwork skills.

Interpersonal communication skills.

English and Spanish knowledge C1-C2.

A long-term commitment to the university.
