Job description

TECNALIA is seeking to recruit a Senior Researcher in nanotechnology applied to cementitious materials. TECNALIA is a private, non-profit research organization located in the Basque Country, in Spain. With a staff of around 1,300 people of 30 different nationalities, our client list includes more than 4,000 companies. However, cold numbers alone cannot explain a whole year’s activity of so many people, so many projects and dreams.

 

The researcher will join a multidisciplinary scientific team focused on the development of novel cementitious materials for the construction sector with a clear focus on products and market. S/he will lead and collaborate in applied research projects at a national and international level.

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Senior researcher in Nanotechnology applied to cementitious materials | TECNALIA Research & Innovation | LinkedIn

    • PhD in Physics or Chemistry
    • Expertise on the development of novel cementitious materials.
    • Post-doctoral experience, preferably in Nanotechnology.
    • Experience in conceiving, writing and developing international R&D projects.
    • Focus on applied research.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Availability to travel abroad and stay at research centres in foreign countries
    • Achievment of optimal interaction with companies and research centers.
    • Continuous watch on the state of the art and the market.
    • Abilities to work in a multidisciplinary team

 

Additionally, the following will also be considered positively:

 

  • Communication skills (specially with industrial researchers).
  • Experience in Industry/Market oriented research.
  • Familiarity with industrial property matters and contract negotiation.
